There are lots of things to do in Phnom Penh Cambodia ranging from historical and cultural sights to pure indulgence in shopping and pampering.

Its Capital City of Cambodia.

It can be integrated into a quad bike tour which also tours the countryside taking in the sights of small villages, temples, and the wildlife center.

Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum - Its at the site of the infamous S-21 prison, a horrifying torture and interrogation center where prisons were held in the time of Pol Pot.

In vast contrast to the bleak architecture of the museum a visit to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda is a must for any visitor to the city.

Royal Palace -

Its a bright and beautiful complex that rewards visitors with an attention to detail.

The highlight is the Silver Pagoda, so called because its floor is paved with silver tiles.

The majority of these are hidden beneath protective carpets, but a few are revealed for visitors to admire, and perhaps even to tread gently upon.

1937 art deco building -

Its houses the central market. There are plenty of things to buy from fake products to traditional handcrafts. The Russian Market is also an interesting place to buy souvenirs, plus the weekend night market where food stalls line the streets with all sorts of wares to taste.

Wat Phnom -

Atop a small hill and surrounded by a pleasant green park, the temple of Wat Phnom is the tallest religious structure in the city.

The interior contains an altar complex with a bronze seated Buddha, overlooked by the beautiful murals on the temple walls, depicting Jataka stories of the Buddha's earlier reincarnations and episodes from the Reamker.

Its a shrine to Lady Penh, founder of the temple, who according to legend found a large koki tree floating in the river that contained four bronze and one stone statue of the Buddha.
